Join Meagan Stone, a local herbalist with over 15 years of experience, for a hands-on introduction to wildcrafting in the Southeast. Learn how to identify, harvest, and use wild plants for food and medicine, including: >The basics of wildcrafting, including safety precautions and ethical harvesting practices >How to identify common edible and medicinal plants in Tennessee and Georgia >The ecological importance of wild plants and the role of wildcrafting in sustainable living This class is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about the natural world and how to use its resources responsibly. Meet your Teacher: Meagan Stone has been a massage therapist in the Chattanooga and north Georgia area for over 10 years. She was featured in Chattanooga's City Scope magazine and is a co-founder of Chattanooga's Holistic Festival. She believes that your body can feel good everyday and that medicine doesn’t have to be expensive or out of reach. In fact, it’s in your own backyard! In her massage practice she specializes in reiki, lymphatic massage, reflexology, cupping, hot stone, deep tissue, and Swedish massage with a focus on Eastern and natural remedies. Her love of self care and plant medicine has led her to expand her practice to include Guided Meditation, Herbal Coaching and Self Care Coaching. She practices in East Tennessee and North Georgia offering therapeutic massage, energy healing, meditation, herbal classes and coaching.
